Cleansing Your Liver Gently With Essential Oils

The liver is the second largest organ in the body and has over 300 functions. It is an amazing filter and helps all of the systems in our body to work as they should.


It is the main organ for our metabolism and detoxification of pollutants and chemicals in the body. It is part of the digestive system, creates bile, metabolizes, fat, protein and carbs, helps to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance, helps regulate and balance hormones, purifies blood, helps with the proper functioning of our neurological system. It helps to get rid of the toxins and by products that occur in our bodies as it functions on a daily basis, as well as pollutants we take in. These pollutants can include things from our environment as well as toxins we take in from what we eat and drink, or medicines.

With all of the jobs our liver has and how important it is to the functioning of our body, it is often overlooked. Many of the diseases that are encountered daily, can be traced back to the liver.
